Even at a young age, Jeanette Vasquez always knew she wanted to practice medicine. Starting in high school and continuing throughout college at UC Irvine, she worked in the office of a local internist, and loved helping patients. After getting a dual degree in biology and psychology, Jeanette moved to Virginia where she attended Eastern Virginia Medical School and became a physician assistant.

A native of Orange County, Jeanette was eager to return and upon completion of her degree she moved back and began to work in a family medicine rotation. She was thrilled when she learned that Melody Women’s Health was hiring, as she admired the work and mission of Planned Parenthood, and wanted to continue to support women in her community with quality, affordable health care. She appreciates that many women feel anxious when they go to the doctor, and hopes to provide patients with the reassurance and understanding they need to make their visit comfortable.

In her free time, Jeanette enjoys spending time with her large family (she’s one of 5 siblings). She also enjoys traveling, reading, and playing with her three huskies.
