For the Last 15 years, Iviana has worked in community mental health and well-being, primarily with children, youth, and families. She has had the opportunity to support parenting youth, juvenile delinquency, un-accompanied minors, youth in foster care, and young adults navigating independent living. She believes that mental health and wellbeing is integral to the human experience, and the path to joy.
Iviana’s upbringing heavily influenced her decision to pursue a career in social work. She is a formerly undocumented, first generation immigrant from Mexico, and was raised in southern California by a single mother.
Iviana is a mother of two, and loves plants, crystals, and Cumbias. In her free time, she enjoys connecting with family, nature, and friends.
